Spring: flowers, sandals, spring break – pollen, bird poop.. We’ll give you some tips on keeping your car clean between taking your vehicle repair questions. 


Recalls this week:

  • There’s a replacement airbag recall involves model-year 2006-08 Infinity FX35s and FX45s. Infiniti will begin notifying owners April 18, but those with further questions can call Infiniti at 800-662-6200, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
  • There’s an airbag recall for Audi model-year 2019-21 A6 sedans and A7 coupes; model-year 2020-21 A6 Allroad wagons, S6 sedans and S7 coupes; and model-year 2021 RS6 sedans and RS7 coupes. To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect the airbag score line and repair it, as necessary, for free. Audi will begin notifying owners May 7, but those with further questions can call the brand at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
  • A tire recall affects model-year Nisson 2018-21 Titan pickup trucks and model-year 2019-20 Altima sedans equipped with Continental-brand tires. To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect the tires and replace them, as necessary, for free. Nissan will begin notifying owners April 28, but those with further questions can call the brand at 800-867-7669, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.

On 3/17 at 1:12 am, troopers from the Lansing Post investigating a car vs deer traffic crash on I-96 near Waverly Rd in Eaton County. While investigating that crash with their emergency lights on, a Tesla on autopilot strikes the patrol car.
