Here are the recalls for the week:
2019 Kia Forte: Dealers will inspect the left front axle driveshaft for a heat treatment verification code and replace it if the code is missing, for free.
2020 Chevrolet Corvette: Dealers will update the software in the vehicle’s body control module to allow the front trunk compartment release switch to always work. Owners also may allow the car to be remedied via an over-the-air software update. Either repair will be done for free.
You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number.
Consumer Reports rounded up the poorest used models of the past decade. Today, we’re going to caution you about: Jeep Cherokee - a Fiat Chrysler product. The 2007 Grand Cherokee, along with every model from 2011 to 2014 and 2016 were far below the average.
Please consider reading up on the reliability of this car before purchasing it as a used car, suggests Consumer Reports. https://www.consumerreports.org/used-cars/used-cars-to-avoid-buying/ https://www.carcomplaints.com/ is another resource for unreliable car lists.
