Main Point: As Jesus leads us to make disciples, he will lead us into persecution.

Because persecution spreads the gospel (vv. 16-20)

Because persecution assures us of our salvation (vv. 21-23)

Because persecution makes us like Jesus (vv. 24-33)

Whose acknowledgment do you most desire? Man's? Or, God's through Christ?

Main Point: When it comes to disciple-making, there's value in the path of least resistance.

Least cultural resistance

Least material resistance

Least gospel resistance

Why is the path of least resistance valuable?

Because Jesus already took the path of greatest resistance

Because the Father has us exactly where he wants us

Because the Spirit still multiplies local ministry for a global impact

Main Point: disciple-making goes beyond sharing the facts of the gospel; disciple-making embodies the very heart of the gospel!
