Along your journey there are going to be times where you come to a place where you need counsel. It's critically important who you listen to. It will direct your future. It will lay forth the path of your destiny in God.

Jesus said that his death and resurrection would affect a fundamental shift about our relationship to God. That it would change from being external to being internal. Jesus said, "You will understand I'm in the father, but I'm in you and you're in me. We are one in the spirit." That's the new birth. It's not religion.

God is soon coming to set everything right. The justice that your heart longs for is coming in the final judgment. God's going to set up a kingdom with his son on the throne and he's going to rule in righteousness. There will be no sin, no evil, no rebellion, no murder, no sorrow, no sickness, no death, and no crying. What a glorious day.

Jesus said, "I've come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." More abundantly means beyond measure, overflowing, more than you need. Are you living in the overflowing life Jesus promised you? Or are you feeding on empty counterfeits, leaving you dry and unsatisfied inside?

If we're willing to ask God to to help us, he will strengthen us because he's a compassionate God. He helps us in our fears and our weaknesses because that's who he is.

In the Old Testament, they had one altar to worship at. It was in Jerusalem. It was God's altar before the temple. In the New Covenant, we have one altar to worship at. It's the cross of Jesus Christ. It's the finished work at Calvary. It's the body and blood of Jesus poured out at Calvary. That's the place of our washing. That's the place of our cleansing. That's the place where we're fed the body and blood of Christ. That's the place of our victory over every sin.

Believers are often shocked when the enemy is permitted to attack them even though they're walking faithfully with God. Sometimes the result of walking faithfully with God is that more trouble comes from the devil. But don't lose heart. God is setting us up for a greater victory to bring greater honor to his name.

Many people have only a confession of godliness but no power to live a godly life. These people are deceived. They're confident they're right with God when they're just as lost as the atheist or the agnostic. Jesus came to change us from the inside out to make us new creatures in Christ. God seeks to dwell with the one who is humble and of a contrite spirit and who trembles at His word.

Sometimes we make seeking the Lord all about the need for the moment, the thing that is pressing, the financial difficulty, the healing, the answer, the wisdom that's needed. But it's so much more than that. We we need to move past the seeking God for the gift or the answered prayer and into "I want God".

Why do we give? Spiritual people give first to bless God for all that he's blessed them with and to gain true riches. True riches are people won to Christ through the everlasting gospel. People granted eternal life instead of eternal condemnation.
