December 17, 2021Episode 55: The Waterbending Master
Book Two, Chapter 23: Once a revered leader and respected mentor, the disgraced waterbender Baquan is responsible for the death of one of his own - a member of the Order of the White Lotus. While the Order consolidates their authority and influence, its leaders seem ignorant of Baquan's scheming to unleash unknown powerful spirits into the world, ancient guardians who want to return the world to a former era. To stop him, five heroes tracked him across the world, from the Fire Nation to the Spirit World, in their quest to avenge the death of a beloved master. Yet when they do, they find themselves questioning their desire for revenge, and looking instead to redemption.

Chet and Hana visit with Akem, who is laid up in a hospital bed at Omashu General. All the while, the party must shroud its activities from the Order of the White Lotus. Together, they must make a choice regarding the fate of their former mentor, the disgraced Master Baquan.
