  • Avenue Red Live Session #014 - Alec Pritchard, Chris Curtis, Dubrovnik (UK) & Tomas Bexton @ OverDraught, Manchester, UK (10-05-2025)
    Avenue Red had a very enjoyable sunshine-drenched live session on the 10th May 2025 at the excellent underground techno pub named OverDraught, located in south Manchester’s Levenshulme area. This was a 10-hour long session and the original recording has been frankly slept on for precisely 1 year. But here we are now proud to present this juicy excerpt, which is the first 5 hours and 40 minutes of the event when things were "relatively coherent", shall we say.
    Expect all shades of underground house, deep house, techno, dub techno, tech house, electro, electronica, IDM and more from a shedload of records and some digital action too!
    Original Event Listing: https://ra.co/events/2159252
    ~~~ Lineup ~~~
    Chris Curtis [Deepness wizard #1 down from Glasgow]
    Dubrovnik (UK) [Deepness wizard #2 down from Glasgow]
    Keep an eye out for our next event at OverDraught on Saturday 30th May, again running from 3pm until 1am with a similar lineup, as we have Alec Pritchard, Chris Curtis and Tomas Bexton all returning. We also have special guest Lozz HT heading up from Birmingham to bolster the occasion. Going to be fun yet again... same party, different weekend. Tell your friends!
  • Avenue Red Podcast #260 - Rob Bellfield
    The Avenue Red Podcast presents a sparkling vinyl-only debut mix from Rob Bellfield, who hails from Utrecht province in south-central Netherlands. Rob is a DJ and artist/producer who also masquerades under the monikers Artileqt and Elusan, as well as operating under his own name and his earlier works under the variation name Rob Belleville. He has built up a tidy catalogue of releases since mid-2000s on some excellent underground labels (see his discography in the links below).
    Here Rob has glued together a dazzling selection that is eye-wateringly cohesive and tightly mixed, as he brings forth some special ambient sounds in the opening stages, which then evocatively segue into purely golden deep house & techno cuts, old and new.
    "Avenue Red caught my attention since I noticed that a couple of my musical friends and cohorts have also graced the podcast series with a guest mix, including Rai Scott, Brad P, Andy Green, Georges White and Damo B to name a few.
    For Avenue Red I wanted to showcase my preference for electronic music with emotional deepness, but somehow always with a focus on a dancefloor in its early hours. This session was mixed on 2x Technics SL-1200 MK2 & Pioneer DJM-250MK2" Rob Bellfield, April 2026
  • Avenue Red Podcast #259.1 - Tim Ohta
    Avenue Red welcomes back Tim Ohta from Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg, Russia. Exactly a year on from his debut, here we are proud to present a duo of vinyl-only mixes of purist minimal house & techno, which really take us back to this distinctively minimalistic era of bare-bones, dark & moody 4/4 machine soul music.
    "While my debut mix for Avenue Red was recorded spontaneously, for the second excursion I thoroughly went through my entire minimal collection and related genres. The result is a two-part retrospective of tracks from the 2000s. As the icing on the cake of my own nerdiness, I'm attaching tracklists with labels and year of release for each track."   • Avenue Red Podcast #258 - Zaremba
    Avenue Red proudly welcomes a newcomer to the series, as we give you Zaremba from Warsaw, Poland. Real name to remember: Dawid Zaremba. He takes us through the paces with a sensational 2-hour selection of finest deep house gems and tech house oddities, cutting across some minimal house & techno territories, especially in the latter half.
    The mixing quality is as robust as it gets for a vinyl mix, all served with an astute, narrow-eyed, laser-like focus on the final mixer output such that literally zero final mix mastering was required. He builds the energy so smoothly and steadily with a magical, groove-laden end product that feels discerning, engaging and most of all... human.
    "Recorded spontaneously during a single evening session. This mix is a deep dive into essential and reduced compositions that never lose their swing. I wanted to focus on that specific raw groove while keeping the selection eclectic. Just me, a stack of vinyl, and the vibe." Dawid Zaremba, January 2026
  • Avenue Red Podcast #257 - Gusev
    He is back so soon! Berlin-based Russian-German selector Dmitry Gusev returns for his 9th contribution to Avenue Red. He is on a roll!
    "The idea for the mix was very simple. I had three records and wanted to build a mix around them. I went through my vinyl collection and listened to many records I'd long forgotten about. I also discovered some B-sides I didn't even know existed. I gave it a try, listened to it, crossed out a few records, added a couple of new ones, and on the second try, the mix was finished.
    In the end, only one of the three records made it into the mix. I'm very happy with it; the mix managed to tell a compelling story. Lately, I've been really enjoying rediscovering my collection. I've already recorded several mixes, and it's been fun. I primarily make the mixes for myself, so there's no pressure.
    I listened back to the mix many times. And later I sent the mix to Alec. Alec is someone who really listens to and understands DJ mixes. And now I would be very happy to share the music with Avenue Red's listeners." Dmitry Gusev, January 2026
