How many men out there feel like they don't belong in the industry? How many men wish they had s community of guys with similar values to them that they could connect with at work and in the construction industry in general?
How many parents wish there was a community filled with positive, strong role models for their sons to be mentored by inside the construction industry?
How many men of the 7 a day that kill themselves in this country are men who could still be here for their families if they had a place to express themselves? If they knew of a culture where men supported men and there was hope of finding a better way to live life?
We say "It aint weak to speak" but what does the culture really tell men? Where are the communities inside of construction that actually promote that and provide a space for men to be vulnerable and to feel heard?
This week I lay out my plan to create The Conscious Tradie - A space where we can start to build this culture out from the ground up and create the communityI wish I had 20 years ago.
