Avoiding Observer Bias in “High Stakes” Situations: Activating Your Point of Emotional Power

We often base our emotional state on "made-up" fears and not the facts of what's happening, especially in high-stake situations when we're attached to a particular outcome. 

This episode discusses the importance of not letting our "runaway" brain control the narrative.

In situations where we create a false narrative in our head based on fear and not on facts, we actually influence a situation's outcome through observer bias. Our thoughts and beliefs have a powerful influence on the way that our reality unfolds. So much so that even in the world of quantum physics, scientists have found that their beliefs and predictions can influence the behavior of atoms and molecules in experiments. 

So, when we allow false fear to take over, we are essentially tipping the scales in favor of the outcome we don't want. It's important to bring our emotional state back into alignment with the facts of the situation to avoid acting and reacting based on "made-up" fears, and I have a quick exercise that will help you do that.
