P-63 King Cobra collides with B-17G at Wings over Dallas

A single seat P-63 King Cobra collided with a B-17G during a World War II aircraft display at the Wings over Dallas airshow last weekend. The NTSB is currently investigating and will issue a preliminary report in 4-6 weeks.

Precision Air ATR overruns into Lake Victoria

Last week a Precision Air ATR 42-500 crashed into Lake Victoria just short of the runway in Bukoba.

Sriwijaya Air flight 182 final report released

Sriwijaya Air flight 182 was a Boeing 737-500 operating from Jakarta to Pontianak that crashed not long after takeoff from Jakarta. This week, Indonesia authorities released their final report on the accident.

United puts its money where its SAF is

United Airlines Ventures is investing in a sustainable aviation fuel refinery to be built in Oregon. The refinery is scheduled to come online in 2026 and produce up to 50,000 barrels of SAF a day.

DOT claws back $600 million for passengers

The US Department of Transportation issued rulings and fines to multiple airlines resulting in $600 million in refunds to passengers and $2 million in fines. The airlines had delayed or refused passengers refunds to which they were entitled.
