She talks about the freedom she has by choosing to be self-employed and using her time to explore everything she loves such as qualifying as a personal trainer. Shreya talks about what an Optometrist does, the importance of eye tests, her University experience and her experience in Ghana with Vision Aid.

Welcoming 2022 with celebrations. Many congrats to Manoj for being the sixth Gurkha Soldier ever to get selected for Commissioning from RMAS in last 206 years of service to the crown. In this episode, he shares his journey right from the beginning starting with his initial resistance to becoming a Gurkha whilst pursuing his studies in Darjeeling, to now, as a newly Second Lieutenant. Please note that we did record this session three days prior to his passing out parade.

Let’s start the month with an inspiring episode with Suprina Thapa. I had a wonderful time talking to her about who she is and what she does. We discuss the importance of politics in our everyday lives, how she became a TV presenter and the consequences that come with a growing public presence. Suprina gives some great advice about being self aware of your strengths and weaknesses, overcoming challenges in the media industry and shares her experience of finding her own true passion within the media sector after a fair share of tests and trials.  

Tash is a Malaysian-Chinese Brit who’s had a roundabout journey to becoming a copywriter. She explains how a break-up led her to starting a blog, which then extended to an Instagram account with over 12k followers and a YouTube channel. We discuss how an introvert can navigate the online world, the importance of being authentic and not being scared to fail. Tash has had such an interesting journey so far and I’ve enjoyed listening and learning about how she got to where she is today. It reminded me that there’s no set route to life and that the whole process is part of you becoming a... wiser you.
