We all make mistakes. We all fail in life. That is part of LIFE. But who do you personally trust to catch you when you do?

What if there were someone who would ALWAYS be there for you, even when your fall is your own fault? What if there were someone who will never leave you and will go with you no matter how many times you mess up?

There is. His name is Jesus. If you have Faith in Him, He will always be there to catch you when you fall. So, the question isn't "Will I fall?"... the question is "WHEN I fall, who will catch me?".

In Mark 10, a blind man names Bartimaeus hears Jesus is walking down the road. He heard Jesus heals. He cries out for Jesus.

What happens next is miraculous. Jesus hears the cry of a blind man and HEALS him. Jesus is cool like that.

This week, Pastor Kamron makes the case that Jesus is STILL like that. He still heals the blind. He loves us SO much. But many times, the blind don't know Jesus. They can't see Jesus. They need someone willing to point them TO Jesus. That's where we come in... and we can simply say, "Come and SEE".

Jesus is waiting.

Does being a Christian mean that I should never offend anyone? Is that an expectation of a Follower of Jesus... a calling from God to never OFFEND anyone else?

Unlikely... Jesus offended tons of people!

It's true. His message. Who He claimed to be. What He said he was about to accomplish. It was offensive to many. What does all this mean for us today?

The word EVANESCENT is used to describe something that "tends to vanish like vapor". Something that is here... but then it's gone.

Much like LIFE. The Bible says we are not promised tomorrow. Pastor Kamron uses this word to describe our lives this week. Here today and gone tomorrow...

"This Evanescent Life"

The crazy thing is many of us are consumed by this part of our lives... this vapor that is gone tomorrow. We focus SO much on it that we fail to recognize the important things... the eternal things.

Did you play "follow the leader" as a kid? Remember that game? Someone leads and you follow every move they make and try to keep up... you try not to do your own thing because then you lose.

Interesting. It's like we are playing this game as adults still... except the stakes are much larger.

As Pastor Kamron unpacks this week's message he asks a question based on this concept. Ask yourself this, "Who am I following?" If Jesus is the best leader (which He is btw), then why have many of us assumed the position of leader in our Follow the Leader game of our lives?

We live in a culture where FAKE is no longer a bad thing... we can have a quality "fake something" and be happy with it because it looks real.

But you and I both know that fake stuff isn't REAL for a reason. It's sub-par quality, it doesn't last as long... and its embarrassing when someone finds out it's not REAL!

How about your Faith? Is it real... or is it fake? Like the message title states, are you the Church? Or do you just "play one" on Sunday?

Today, Pastor Kamron not only shares our new VISION for the church... but also a new NAME. That's right, we are hoping by the end of this month to make a BIG change. Onaway Assembly of God would become Awaken Church.
