On this episode, in case you missed it, here's the audio-version of the most recent round of Instagram Live Stor(ies). Acceptance, reflection, nostalgia, turning the other cheek...we touch on a quite a few topics on this one.
Enjoy.
On this short solo episode, a spontaneous memory of a very sobering lesson in the importance family and treasuring what we have and also recognising what matters.
Enjoy.
"Take a chance. Why not?" - that was basically the one and only passing thought that drove me towards reaching out and connecting with my next guest on this new and engaging episode.
Emmanuelle Georges -or Emmy, for short- is a speaker, blogger, and founder of the Love Your Body Movement in Haiti. A truly heartwarming and powerful endeavour aimed at the empowerment of women on their individual journey towards self-confidence and self-love.
I had to have her on the program. If only to thank her for her vulnerability and courage to speak out on the need for us to recognise these moments where we are not at our 100%. Through workshops, meetups, conversations and DANCE, Emmy has made it her purpose to offer her time and open her heart to women of all backgrounds in order to help them reaffirm their personal greatness.
A mission the certainly resonates with yours truly. And a story definitely worth sharing. By sheer coincidence and honest transparency, I got (re)acquainted with a truly bright and powerfully moving soul.
This is going to be interesting.
It's one thing to have lifelong friends on the podcast. It's certainly a different kind of beast when this same person happens to be one of the kindest, generous yet most brutally honest and ferociously upfront individuals around.
I keep a close-knit group of people in my circle and Emma has had a prominent place among these singular souls whose friendship, insight and honesty have been a true gift.
Mother, Woman, Entrepreneur... Emma has certainly seen her fair share of personal circumstances and has never shied away from dishing out her many doses of somewhat inconvenient yet necessary and empowering truths (see here).
I was thrilled to have her on the podcast as we let 20+ years of friendship take over a fun, candid, transparent conversation about marriage, parenting, dating in 2018, womanhood... and so much more.
You can connect with Emma via her Instagram feed, or drool over -and place an order- for her tasty creations at La Petite Gourmande Baked Goods.
I do hope you enjoy this exchange as we certainly enjoyed bringing it to you.
On this short solo episode, I realize how ludicrous it is to try and imagine the lot of what our parents do for us - but if you take just a second...
Enjoy.

On this short solo episode - my first day & night in my first apartment. Oh, the memories.
Enjoy.

Blessed. 'Tis indeed the word. When you come out the other end of yet another powerful and thought-provoking exchange - all you do is take a second, breathe it in and realize that certain opportunities, connections, conversations and people are truly a blessing.
My guest, Tanguy Exume, was nothing short of an amazing spirit to have on the program. With a genuine philosophy of kindness, resilience, patience and mindfulness, there was no time for questions - only for listening. And sometimes, too often actually, we lose sight of how important this simple act can be.
Wearing a variety of hats ranging from - and I'm not making these up - dedicated Crossfit Athlete, to Poet, to published author, to Teacher, to Salsa Insctructor, to most notably and closest to my heart, loving husband and father...Tanguy is a singular expression of eclectic Awesomeness.
Stoicism, acceptance, personal truth, recalibration(a word I'll be using quite often going forward in regards to shifting my internal dialogue)...the guy is a wealth of perspective and wisdom.
A conversation that most assuredly could have gone on for much longer...but nap-time is an unpredictable foe. But a terrific exchange by all accounts.
I do hope you enjoy this exchange as we certainly enjoyed bringing it to you.

Following some kind encouragement from a few friends, I recorded an Instagram LIVE Story a few days ago. Obviously, with the fairly little warning I'd given, a couple of people got back to me asking if the broadcast session would be available for later viewing.
The concern did not fall onto deaf ears. This is the result.
I have to admit it's a rather revealing experience when you listen to yourself from the audience's perspective. I touched on some personal stories I had all but forgotten. After listening, I realized how these events and circumstances have impacted me in a rather significant way.
I'm all about transparency. Wine helps.
Enjoy.
