This powerful teaching lies at the heart of A Course in Miracles. Throughout this ACIM Satsang, Barret De La Luz invites us to consider that every single person we encounter—is offering us salvation, because each one reflects back the thoughts and choices in our own mind.
This is not just poetic metaphor—Barret emphasises that this is actually the pathway to remembering who you are. You don’t need to search for your savior. He is everywhere!
In the beginning of the session, Barret invites us to look honestly at the attack thoughts we still hold in the mind. He explains how these thoughts distort perception, making Christ—and God Himself—seem like our enemies. The teaching calls us to face these patterns not by suppressing or bypassing them, but by allowing them to rise into awareness with the help of the Holy Spirit.
In this session, Barret also references the relationship between Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford—the scribes of A Course in Miracles—as a pivotal example of how transformation begins with a sincere recognition that things must change. This recognition is the essential first step. Without it, there’s no true openness. It’s not about having all the answers—just being willing to say, “I don’t want this anymore. I want something better.”
Towards the end of the Satsang we are reminded that Jesus is always there for us. Barret says “You may have forgotten to take His hand, hundreds, maybe thousands of times, but now is a new moment. Now I can choose to do it”.
This captures the devotion and love Jesus has for us—no matter how many times we forget or wander from our path, Jesus is always there, waiting patiently for us to turn to Him once again.
