“Jesus Christ’s incarnation and resurrection represent the most dramatic and significant expressions of God’s transdimensional/ extradimensional capacities. A succinct description appears in Philippians chapter two. In coming to Earth as an embryo in the virgin’s womb, Christ “made himself nothing” and “humbled himself.” While losing none of his divine attributes or access to his divine powers, Jesus (with rare exceptions) chose to put aside the transdimensional/ extradimensional realm and capacities he shared with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. When he had completed the work he set out to do, the work of redemption, he returned to the place and the powers he had left behind. The magnitude of this dimensional (or equivalent) sacrifice staggers human imagination. Though the illustration pales by comparison, consider what it would be like for us to put aside temporarily just one dimension and thus enter a two-dimensional realm, even for an hour. Imagine what it would be like to tell two-dimensional “beings” about our three-dimensional realm of shapes, colors, sounds, tastes, and countless experiences—and truths—unimaginable to them. If we cared for them as God cares for us, we would gently invite them to come with us and remind them that help is available to get them to this new world. A special tutor—the Holy Spirit—is available at every moment to guide them in understanding, trusting, and applying the promises and truths of that three-dimensional reality so they can experience it directly if they so choose.” -Hugh Ross
