This week we jump back in time to 1968 to take on Laura Nyro's "Eli and the Thirteenth Confession". This one was challenging for both of us! It had a lot to take in from a ton of different angles. Join us as we explore the constantly changing musical landscape that Laura Nyro created. There are also plenty of the usual shenanigans and side-tracking. This was another fun album to dissect!

This week we jump in to a Great Big Pile Of Leaves to start celebrating the official start of Autumn. Jordan and Jared break down some interesting imagery, tire of the same old sound, and make fun of a beloved classic musical. We also prepare for another fan suggested album for next time!

This week Jordan and Jared are back together, and talking about "Solid State" by Jonathan Coulton. We jump into talking about things ranging from internet trolls, Kingdom Hearts, dumb jokes, and even The Singularity. This week finds Jordan and guest host Sarah check out Astoria by Marianas Trench, an 80's-inspired pop-punk album with a lot of emotional ups and downs. Sarah regales us with stories from seeing the band live, Jordan admits to crying, and both of us realize we’ve never seen The Goonies.

This week marks the first week of the new one-a-week format! With this in motion Jordan and Jared dig into the album "midcity" by clipping. This album was a challenge to get into, but there are some worthwhile gems hidden inside of it!

This is the debut episode of our podcast "Awakester". In this episode we introduce ourselves, and our show! The hosts, Jordan and Jared, each share an album with each other and then deconstruct it while giving their opinion on the album. This week we covered "Echoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace" by The Foo Fighters, and "Hidden" by These New Puritans.
