After a month hiatus, Hale End Productions goes 1 by 1 through all 18 loanees plus one extra special academy player who's shining bright (it's not who you think). The highlights of the season have been Folarin Balogun's 8 goals in Ligue 1, Charlie Patino's defensive prowess and progressive passing, Brooke Norton-Cuffy's domination on the right side of the pitch, Arthur Okonkwo's penalty saves and a whole lot more. Away From Hale End is back and better than ever, going back to our once a week episodes.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy shines for Rotherham in a new position on the left flank. BNC's skillset flourished in the half-spaces, as his in-swinging crosses, left-footed passes, and technical prowess made for an easy transition into a new role. Folarin Balogun scores again for Reims, his 8th goal of the season. Alex Kirk scores again, his 2nd goal in 4 matches as Ayr United stay top of the league. Omar Rekik returns from injury just in time for the World Cup. Ovie Ejeheri stands on his head again as Chelmsford stay alive in the FA Cup. All that and more as I update you on all 18 Hale End players on loan!
Charlie Patino is dominating every midfield he comes up against. First touches leaving defenders in the dust. Switches of field spurring counter attacks. Shots outside the box finding the corner. Tackling the ball off the opposition with ease. Stepping into passing lanes. You name it! Folarin Balogun keeps scoring goals, this time a goal that will remind many Gooners of Thierry Henry. Marcelo Flores and Nikolaj Moller get their first assists of the season and Alex Kirk gets his first senior goal. Tyreece John-Jules continues to be a Swiss army knife in attack for a dominant Ipswich side and Ryan Alebiousu provides the impetus for Kilmarnock. Mazeed Ogungbo makes his return to the squad after a month away and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand gets closer to his senior debut.
Charlie Patino gets put to the test in a hectic, physical, and frantic Championship matchup with then top of the table Sheffield United. Patino stood tall to the task and impressed. Nikolaj Moller scores his first competitive goal of the season, sending FC Den Bosch to the next round of the KNVB Cup. Brooke Norton-Cuffy gets some much needed rest and follows that up with an excellent performance and so does Ryan Alebiosu as the two strut their skills from RWB. All that and more!
Mika Biereth is finally healthy and became Waalwijk's hero, scoring 2 goals to beat Groningen. Folarin Balogun continues to score goals and improve his all around CF play. Charlie Patino and Brooke Norton-Cuffy impress in the Championship, while Tyreece John-Jules gets his first chance at striker and scores a match winner to keep Ipswich top of the table. Tim Akinola and Ovie Ejeheri win man of the match awards in the 5th division, Miguel Azeez dominates the midfield in La Liga 2, and Tom Smith makes the Bromley No.1 role his own. All that and more on a special two week episode of Away From Hale End!
Bukayo Saka dazzles for England, cementing his place as the Lions starting RW for the World Cup. In the ranks of the Young Lions, Folarin Balogun Charlie Patino, and Amario Cozier-Duberry score and Ethan Nwaneri, Lino Sousa, and Myles Lewis-Skelly impress. Mika Biereth continues to light it up (when healthy), but Tim Akinola and Omar Rekik can't catch a break. OH, and you won't want to miss the spectacular performance Miguel Azeez put on in Spain.
Ethan Nwaneri makes his debut as the youngest player in Arsenal and the Premier League's history at just 15 years old. The attacking midfielder is filled with technical skills, tactical awareness, and supreme physical traits. What's next for Nwaneri now that he's played for Arsenal's senior team at such a young age? In other news, Miguel Azeez makes his debut for Ibiza, Charlie Patino returns from injury, Ryan Alebiosu puts in his best performance for Kilmarnock, and 10 Hale Enders get called up to represent their national teams.
Folarin Balogun cannot be stopped, adding 2 goals and 1 assist to his tally for Reims this season. A match winner, a penalty won, and much more for Flo as he's now scored in 5 of 6 matches this season. Brooke Norton-Cuffy plays 180 minutes, including a brief cameo at a new position. Miguel Azeez and Tim Akinola make their loan moves on deadline day and Nikolaj Moller inches closer to a return to the starting 11 in his 45 minute cameo. I also update you on all the injured Hale Enders on loan, including when we might see Charlie Patino back in action!
Brooke Norton-Cuffy makes his championship debut as Rotherham keep a clean sheet and win 2-0 with BNC at RWB. Folarin Balogun comes up against a physical side in Lyon, Nikolaj Moller returns to action, Marcelo Flores keeps his starting spot in the league, and an update on Mika Biereth as he finally returns to training. All that and more as 8 Hale Enders feature this week on loan.
Folarin Balogun has done something no Reims player has done in 47 years, scoring a goal in each of the clubs first 3 matches. Brooke Norton-Cuffy has joined Rotherham in the Championship and given the #10 jersey for the season, as well as Salah-Eddine Oulad M'hand joining Hull City and given the #10 shirt. Marcelo Flores makes his first competitive start for Real Oviedo in their win over Leganes and Mazeed Ogungbo helps Crawley Town beat a Premier League side in the Carabao Cup. All that and more as Hale Enders perform all over Europe.
