Paul's Mission to Ephesus - Jesus in Ephesus

God's covenant - God asked Abraham to leave his people and go to another land.

Famine in the land and Abraham went down to Egypt to live for a while because the famine was severe - Genesis 12:10-20

Paul's witness - Paul met with elders of the Ephesians

They were chosen within the covenant relationship with God, based on an implied conditionality of faith and obedience (Genesis 22)

Abraham's call - To your descendants I will give this land ( Genesis 12:7)

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 28:19

The righteous perish and merciful men are taken away - Isa 57
