You already know what this episode is about. How could we not weigh in on the whole Diddy situation? We rundown what we know so starting with Cassie's lawsuit up to his homes in L.A. and Miami being raided. We also explain how it's also exposing the real lifestyles of IG girls and what they are willing to do to live the lives. we dream of. We also weigh in on the Drake vs Everybody beef and how corny rap beefs have gotten over the years. (How did we get here?!) Plus, Creole goes on a rant about too many artists going on tour and her favorite artists not making stops in New Orleans. We're looking at you Chris Brown, Usher and Jhene Aiko.
We're kicking off season five with a look back at the Grammys, the winners, the snubs and Killer Mike's arrest. And why are BET, MTV and VH1 bleeding into each other? It's all the same shows on every network now. And we push for the BET awards to return to its glory days of being the Black Twitter (or X now, I guess) of the year. And we also look at Usher's new album.
We're marking 50 years of Hip Hop. In this episode we discuss the current state of hip hop with Retro's longtime friend and artist Jahia. Jahia shares her creative process as a hip hop artist herself from writing her own lyrics to her visions for music videos. We also debate if the current artists are looking for longevity or are they just looking for that viral TikTok hit? We also look ahead to where Hip Hop may end up in the next 50 years. Will it still be around? Will it ever return to the commercial crossover success it saw in the 90s and early 2000s? We'll see.

Whooo chile. This was an episode. It was a struggle editing this episode due to technical issues. But we finally have our lost episode with the one and only Bondy Blue of YouTube and Instagram fame. We talk about stepping out on faith to do what you love and find peace. We’re also joined by Bondy’s friend Peace of Serenity owner Francois who also stepped out on faith and started her own business. If this episode isn’t anything else, it’s inspirational.

Finally! What a way to start the New Year than with our good friend and actor Jaren Mitchell. We chat it up about his journey from the stage at Southeastern Louisiana University to a career in television and film. Ever heard of a small show called "Queen Sugar"? And Retro finally gets to ask Jaren all the questions he wants about his favorite movie "Ghost Shark".
