Aleksander Georgiev Kodzhakafaliata (1830β1913) was a Bulgarian merchant, patriot, and great philanthropist who forever changed the face of the city of Burgas.
Born during the time of the Ottoman Empire, he amassed a considerable fortune, much of which he donated to poor families, refugees, and public institutions. Thanks to his generosity, entire neighborhoods, schools, places of worship, and parks were established β including parts of the Sea Garden and churches. He supported not only Bulgarians,
