MLK Jr. preached about nonviolent resistance in many of his messages – the idea to force an oppressor to see you and the injustice done upon you or others without striking back with violence. This was a method MLK Jr. took from Jesus and Gandhi. He focused on agape love – an unconditional love that saw everyone as brothers and sisters. How can we stand up for others through nonviolent resistance today?

Zechariah's Song: Prepare the Way, Rev. Russell Clark

Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, couldn’t talk until John was born because he didn’t believe the angel foretelling his son’s birth. His song prepares the way for the birth of Jesus and the prophesy of who he will be and the joy that comes with this hope, as well as how John will be the one to prepare the way for Jesus. The end of Zechariah’s song really focuses on the dawn of a new day.
