    San Diego State opens its 2026-27 season with an exhibition game in Tucson against the Big 12 preseason favorite Arizona Wildcats. SDSU led 30-24 before Arizona went on a late first-half run. Isaiah Sy scored a team-high 17 points while Bear Cherry finished a rebound shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
