B. Hoop Travels

In the season opener, I talk with Mr. Omari Bashir talks about what motivates him to travel, inspiring other black men to travel, the global impact of black American culture, spreading his mother’s ashes in King Tut’s tomb, and that time we saw Babyface in the mall.

We couldn’t get everything into one episode, so I invited Eve Kim back to record another podcast. We mused about the virus that has shut down China, more about the culture of perfection in S. Korea, and more about teaching English there.

In my first podcast interview, I talk with my friend/high school classmate about how she navigated South Korea. Her experience was wasn’t all peaches and cream. It was hard work. It was life changing. It was stressful. But it changed her life.

I survived skiing. And I’m not sure if it is my favorite thing. But I like the vibe in Salt Lake City. Yeah, and I’m surprised by that. It’s an outdoorsy kinda place that is surrounded by snow capped mountains. I begin the episode talking about the brush fires in Australia (it’s bad y’all)and President Trump’s unilateral decision to kill an Iranian official (God help us).

Me musing about the glorious Amalfi Coast and it’s obsession with lemons. It’s fancier than me. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. Thoughts about Ghana and the return. And how Afrochella was both a boom and a bust-(that’s what I heard)

Brian talks about one of his favorite cities in the world he has been visiting for twenty years. It’s the breathtakingly gorgeous city that was the back drop for his wedding day. Learn where ti eat, what to do and where to stay in Savannah.7

I call Boston an “open air museum,” because really that’s what it is. History lives on every single corner of this All-American town. It has a way with being pretentious and folksy at the same time. Oh and I finally got into Harvard!
