B1KER Bar

The man who invented the Pedaling Innovations pedals is a regular mountain biker like the rest of us.  Yes he has worked as a trainer for many professional athletes including the new well known Aaron Gwin.  Yes he's been in the bike industry for quite some time.  But it was just a simple question boggling his mind on the trail during a ride that spawned this company.  He was thinking to himself why he needed stiff shoes and a clipless system for good pedaling efficiency but didn't need shoes in the gym. The answer is actually pretty damn logical.  We talk about this and a lot more in this episode of the B1KER Bar.  *** Unfortunately there was a huge storm passing through Northern California and my power dropped during the show...twice.  Bare with it on the video and I come back online. I edited it out of the Podcast version. Sorry, apparently Mother Nature doesn't watch the show.***

Sheyn from The Crashing Dad YouTube channel has been quite the example for those of you wanting to make progression in your riding. Just two years ago Sheyn was a road biker/triathlete and somehow decided to take the leap into mountain biking. By watching some of his latest videos you wouldn't think he's only been doing this for two years. Between a full time job, a wife, and two young children he finds the time to run a popular YouTube channel. His story is interesting and for those of you that follow his channel this will be fun to learn more about the man behind the curtain.

Since it's the holiday season I figured it would be fun to talk about things on a Mountain Biker's Wish List. Unfortunately at the last minute a couple of guests couldn't make it on the show. Fortunately Horn's High Mountain Biking and I are both blessed with the gift of gab and ended up pulling it together.

Horns High MTB is a lifestyle as much as it is a YouTube channel. The man behind the movement is Shawn. His approach to life is what made him start his mtb youtube channel. He's based out of Kansas but doesn't let his location keep him from having a great time on the trails. When he's not riding apparently he's the next Pied Piper.
