  • Episode 1 (Yulia Kosarenko) – The Business Analyst Mindset
In this episode Yulia Kosarenko shares with us the importance of possessing a business analyst 'mindset'. This mindset is critical to move a business analyst from the position of scribe to operating as a valued member of a product team. Join us to learn about the key characteristics that define this mindset.
    Do you...
Possess the drive to see what is missing from a given scenario?
Think differently than the other team members working on your project?
Have the willingness to speak up when the analysis results provide opposing results?
The role of the business analyst requires someone who is brave, patient, resilient, and comfortable with change. The role of business analyst is not for the faint of heart. If you are not walking the path less traveled - you might not have fully developed your business analyst mindset!
Speaker bio: Yulia Kosarenko graduated from the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv with a degree in computer science and math. She has spent most of her career alternating between IT and business engagements, with more than 15 years as a business analyst and business systems analyst, before changing focus to business architecture. She has worked in many industries, including transportation and logistics, insurance, pensions and payments. Yulia has managed teams of business analysts and architects, as well as cross-functional project teams.
Yulia’s passion for business analysis culminates in her recently published book, “Business analyst: a profession and a mindset”.  Obtain a copy on Amazon as a paperback or as a digital Kindle edition. The ePUB e-book is available on Kobo.
