This Sunday, we were blessed to have Alice Bond, pastor of Hope Chapel here in Bristol come and speak. Alice shared a powerful message as part of our sermon series on Holiness, focusing on Psalm 51 and the role of repentance in holiness. She spoke on how holiness is built on the altar of our failure, highlighting the crucial role that repentance and an honest understanding of our shortcomings play in our journey toward holiness.

Wayne takes us to 1 Peter 1:14-16 where he shares with us that pursuing holiness is a lifelong journey, that requires both a reliance on God’s grace and our own personal discipline.

Wayne leads us to Isaiah 6:1-8 to look at God’s holiness, that it is the foundation for our understanding of holiness and that it's both awe inspiring, sin revealing and transformative.

Paul kicks off our new sermon series - Jesus, you and me: The Holy Life and takes us through a whistle-stop tour of Leviticus, where he lands us at 19:1-2. Paul shares with us some powerful insights into how God calls us to be Holy as He is Holy, and that this call is both an invitation and a command.

Denise talks about how it is in the knowing of God's love for us through the Holy Spirit that has the power to transform us: He changes our core strength, He changes our perspective and He helps us to surrender.

This week, we explored Romans 8:1-17, looking into how the law alone is insufficient and why we need the indwelling Holy Spirit in our lives. This is the same Spirit that provides us with the assurance and joy of knowing we are co-heirs with Christ, adopted as children of God.
