This was a great read, insightful and easy steps to meditation and relaxation. by following the steps in the book and thinking about the fundamental idea of mediation has made it very easy for me to gain great value from this read. this i love, "The moments of peace in between the mental practices are meditation" Love that!!!
Helped me renew my meditation practice.
As a long time dabbler in meditation, this book was very helpful. Instead of a totally spiritual take on the process, Gudjon approaches meditation from a more secular standpoint. The book explores the motivations you can apply to boost your practice. Once I sorted my motivations, I found I could give up the struggle of finding time for meditation and make it more of a priority in my life. This was the most important thing I got from the book.
He breaks down the process into relaxation and concentration exercises. I've read other meditation books which try to get you to do everything at once, Gudjon's separation into two the steps helped me focus on what is relevant at the time I am practicing. I combined some of the exercises to create my own way which worked quicker for me.
I like Gudjon's books, they are a quick read and they are often topics I am interested in. 4 stars because this is a very informative and laid back book.

Gudjon's style is very easy to read and apply. A book you can read in one sitting and return to review the simple techniques he teaches in his workshops. I will be giving this as a gift to friends and family and it will be used as a way to incorporate meditation for my wife's work clients. Concise and concrete ways to get started on your meditation habit today.
