  • Kris Körper- Körper Strength Culture

Episode 12 season 3 is out with Kris Körper. Kris currently has his own gym out in Las Cruces, NM. It is by far one of the most interesting gyms I have ever seen. Kris puts out a ton of great information on his Instagram and is currently documenting his training with Ronnie Allen who currently is playing for the Florence Yalls in the professional frontier baseball league.

Kris talks about his early years of training and how he back obsessed with it. Kris was a highly ranked baseball prospect while he was in high school but wanted to forgo the draft. He decided instead to serve a mission for his church in Boston, MA.

During this time, Kris talks about he continued to train out of a barn with stone weights. Yea stone weights this dude is an animal. After serving his mission, Kris went and played junior college baseball and after played at New Mexico State University.

Kris goes in depth about his social media but talks about how it is so little of what he does. He believes if he were to blow up his social media, he would be doing a disservice to his athletes and not pay attention to them as much. Kris has such a great outlook towards social media and I will do the same going forward.

Throughout the rest of the podcast, Kris talks about his training style and the methods he uses. Kris talks about his currently athlete Ronnie Allen and talks about his custom program. He talks about who it is only specific to him and is very serious about the proper recovery and nutrition that goes into his program to be able to perform.

I really enjoyed my time with Kris. Kris is one of the smartest S/C coaches I have met through this podcast and has such a great energy for athletes. He is exactly what a S/C coach embodies.
