No need to worry; we will be getting back to abnormal in no time. I know you were bored with that temporary sense of safety the media gave you. You were thinking to yourself, "well, we finally beat this whole pandemic thing with a little moderate magic; we gave 'em the old one two!" One two, buckle my shoe, three, four, Covid is at the door, and this time it is a hell of a lot more infectious. All of this pontificating about the severity of the disease or the threat it poses at a particular moment in time may be useful for scientists or at least people who know not to panic, but the constant surveillance of every little thing going on with covid by the popular media really seems to have bored the general public into complete madness. Boredom is a powerful emotion that is known to cause erratic behavior by the way. One of the reasons I started More Content Talk (hence the name) was to make people a bit less bored so that they could regain their sanity. I think one of the most depressing things about the pandemic for people is having to stare at the same talking heads everyday droning on about statistics. I mean, throw a dance number in there or something. I know damn well that Anderson Cooper knows how to get down. Or how about a brief musical montage dedicated to the wonders of Amazon; just think of all the underpaid singers we could employ for a few months! As you know, I recognize that power of satire and have used it frequently in all of my episodes because the key to life is realizing that it is one big joke. Some take that as insulting, but jokes are a precious commodity in a world that takes itself way too seriously. Laughter saves lives god damn it, no matter how much it irks you to admit it. People from all age groups listen to my show because I am always looking for new and interesting ways to make people laugh. Everyone loves a comedian, as long as they are funny and as long as they actually have something to say. Comedy is the most awesome tool we have for imparting knowledge; it may even be the most important tool that we have. But covid is no joke and being sick is no comedy. Get your loved ones to stop being such little babies. If you have to, give them a sugary snack every time they wash their hands after using the bathroom; this would at the least create a Pavlovian response that may stop the spread of e coli. It is no surprise that we are here folks. The news was out there for anyone who actually wanted it. There was no way this pandemic was fully over; we just had a brief respite from the battle. You should never celebrate small victories; that is always how you lose the war. Now keep your eyes on the prize and fight on. You made it this far; you may as well soldier on and stick it out till the end. Stupidity only wins when intelligent people become comfortable.
