The Bronze Scales conclude their business in Haamel, and head north along the map’s trails. They discover the hard way that not all places in the Ayinell are as warm and welcoming as where they’ve been before, but that friends can still be found where they are least expected. As the party presses on, they learn that Wolves, as well as foxes, now hunt along the shoreline.

Having defeated the Amber Witch of the Salamis Isles, the Bronze Scales assure that they leave no stone unturned and no business unfinished. Ezekiel takes a dive, and what he hears sends the party beneath the sand, where they must battle through abominations and dark magic. With their resources and energies already depleted after the fight above, they face a difficult decision in how far they’re willing to pursue Daphne’s machinations.

After a journey marked with strange encounters, the Bronze Scales arrive in Haamel, a charming agricultural hamlet that seems untouched by and unconcerned with the dangers of the Ayinell. Though they spend the first night joining in the town’s celebrations, the Scales are oddly suspicious of their too-warm welcome. Asking around town, they begin to see the truth of what’s happening, and Ezekiel makes a four-legged friend with a fondness for riddles.
