About a year ago Dan took the backpacking YouTube world by storm, and easily became the quickest growing channel in the YouTube outdoor space - gaining almost 40k subscribers in a year.  In addition to talking about backpacking - this was a very honest conversation with Dan about YouTube haters, trolls, reading comments, being recognized in public, channels he has mentored turning on him, and dealing with corporate sponsorships.
