My friend Sharaye Lamothe Jenkins joins me to discuss a defining traumatic incident from our childhood. This episode is Part 1 of our conversation.
Sharaye Lamothe Jenkins is a former stay-at-home mom — now a mom to two amazing kitties — and full-time wheelchair user with a T-7 SCI. Now that her kids are adults, she spends her time exploring new interests and setting herself up for her next chapter.

How much information does the voting public deserve to know about a political candidate? Is that candidate allowed to retain their privacy? These questions were raised during my recent watching of The West Wing.

Of all the places to be inaccessible, how are medical offices at the top of the list?

A series of Threads posts had me questioning the way a Paralympian talks about and interacts with other members of the disabled community. Can you be with us if you sound like you're against us?

Are you watching the Paralympics? I'm...trying. It's harder than it should be. The Paralympics need to be given equal consideration as the Olympics, even if that means spreading them out more.

While right-wingers' responses to Gus Walz's emotional reaction to his dad's speech at the DNC are ALL problematic, it's especially troubling that they backtracked once they learned he has a disability. Disabled people don't need "extra" protection. People just need to stop behaving badly.
