In a long episode for a long movie, BFFC goes to see BLADERUNNER 2049. Expect future fashion, treatises on the biology of replicants, and crying over Dave Bautista's tiny wire-rim spectacles.

On this first day of fall, the ladies tackle KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE. Get ready for terminator dogs, CGI face discussions, and of course, why Matthew Vaugn can't manage get through a movie without a severely uncomfortable sex scene. Plus shoutouts galore and the announcement that BFFC is now on Google Play!

Continuing with the theme of Cold War action movies featuring 99 Luftballons, the girls tackle Zach Snyder's WATCHMEN. They'll talk about speed ramping, why diversity is doubly a problem in adaptations of source material, and whether this film contains the most awkward sex scene in cinema history. WARNING: This episode will contain an extended discussion on the rape scene and storyline of a key character. This segment may be skipped from minute 37:00 to 46:30.

In a return to form, the girls take a big-picture view of The Avengers, Joss Whedon, and the effect the film had on the MCU and superhero movies in general. They'll talk about Whedon's penchant for "damaged" female characters, airplane hanger fights, and most importantly, ideas for the DC standalone Joker movie (call us, Mark Hamill).

United at last! Kelly and Sarah have journeyed across land, sea and the 405 freeway to record from the same physical location for the first time in BFFC history. And what better movie for such an occasion than Atomic Blonde, the film that fulfilled all their female-led John Wick dreams. Includes discussions of neon 80s kitsch, use of the male gaze in cinema, and what the f*ck is going on with this movie's plot. Special shoutout to imdb for helping the girls through this one.

In this week's episode, the girls tackle one of their favorite superhero movies, THE DARK KNIGHT. They'll cover the Joker, truck flips, Nolan's ability to cover two villains AND make a fantastic sequel, and for some reason, men's pants. Plus: a pitch for turning the Universal Dark Universe into a one-off Netflix series.
