Bad History

This week on a brand new episode of Bad History, Steven and Dave recount tales of epidemics and diseases ravaging the countryside.  Also Steven broke the rules because we agreed we wouldn't do the Black Death...Anyway, give us a listen and a follow (if ya feel like it) and check out our weekly totally-historically accurate episodes of BAD HISTORY!!!!

We are so happy to be back once again for another week. We seriously apologize for the lateness of this episode, we had some technical difficulties that took some serious editing and we both had really busy weeks. We really hate being late and do our best to not let it happen often. This week we are talking about the weather! That's right, whether the weather is good or whether the weather is just weather. We are specifically talking about how the weather drastically effected the outcome of major conflict and helped to turn the tide. We really hope you enjoy. We'll be back next week for a brand new episode chalk full of equal parts history and equal parts laughs. Remember you can always reach out to us on Facebook and Twitter. We hope you enjoy!

It's movie time here at Bad History! That's right, this week we are talking about historical movies. We both pick two movies and talk about what they get right and, of course, what they got wrong. Critics are loving this episode and it's already got a 'Super Fresh Great Episode Boys!' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so you know it's good! In all serious though, we think it's a pretty fun episode that you are sure to enjoy. As always, you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or email us at [email protected].

This week on Completely Off Topic Monday, party stories and the Steven Interview! Get to know about our low life college years where we went to parties and even threw parties sometimes.  Also, get an intimate look at one of the podcast's most bearded hosts with the Steven Interview!

And now for something completely different! It's Completely Off Topic Mondays! A new series that Steven and Dave have created to talk candidly about the world of history and historical studies. It's not a regular episode of Bad History, it's just a short segment where Steven and Dave share their knowledge on certain historical aspects that are more practical and personal. Who knows, they might not even talk about history...they might talk about the Evil Dead again!

A regular scheduled episode of Bad History will also be available later this week. Completely Off Topic Monday will not affect normal episodes of Bad History.

It's time for unlucky episode 13, which means it's time to get spooked! This week we are talking about some of history's most notorious serial killers that you may not know pretty much anything about! We sure didn't going into this. Seriously though we had a great time recording this and we think you'll have an even better time listening. As always you can find us on Twitter and Facebook, just search for Bad History. Thanks for listening and have fun getting spooked!

of Bad History. As requested by our guest Kat Tuttle on last week’s episode,

this week we will be covering women bad asses from history. It’s important to

note that we are not covering the most influential women from history (although

that will almost certainly be another episode) but instead we are talking about

women who did literally kick ass. I went down the rabbit hole pretty hard with

this episode and I think that you’ll learn a lot! As always you can reach us on

Twitter, Facebook, and by email if you have any questions or comments. Also,

let us know what you are thinking about Completely Off Topic Monday! We are

enjoying making them so far and plan to keep releasing them weekly. Anyway that’s

enough rambling from me. We hope you enjoy the episode!

Join Steven and Dave for Completely Off Topic Monday.  This week the boys will discuss why you should study history in college and what types of jobs you can pursue with your shiny new history degree.  Spoiler Alert: It's the best liberal arts degree!

are finally back to our regular schedule and we could not be happier about it.

This week is a very special week for Bad History because we have our first

every guest! We have been teasing it for a while but we finally made it happen.

Our guest this week is Kat Tuttle, a PhD student studying Classics at Indiana University. We discuss all things Rome in this episode, specifically things that

they have given to us. This was a lot of fun to record and we really think that

you will like it!

In the very first episode of Completely Off Topic Monday, Steven and Dave decide to talk about how they became interested in history and what events or people helped them to become the historians they are today.  Completely Off Topic Mondays will be a less formal episode that focuses more on the study of history and the personal lives of Steven and Dave.  Expect episodes weekly or bi-weekly (we haven't decided yet) coming out between regular scheduled episodes of Bad History (BAAAAAAAD HISSSTOOOORRRRRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!).

big one for us too because it is episode number 10! (Even though we have two

episodes of History Hangouts and the intro episode but whatever those don’t

count) On this episode we explore who we think are the two worst presidents in

US history. We both give super compelling cases and are of course torn on the

issue. Because of that we have asked for your input on who you think is the

worst president. We have created a poll and will be posting the link on our

Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/badhistorycast/)

and our Twitter (@badhistorycast). We would love to get your input! Thank you

guys so much for all of the support and positive feedback (and also

constructive criticism). We honestly never thought we would make it to number

10 so this is a huge milestone. We can’t wait to keep making episodes for you

guys.
