“I would say that listening to profane pop music enables pastoral care…this is holy work.”
Welcome to Called to be Bad episode six! Get your headphones ready to listen to Isaac Villegas and I talk about "bad" or profane pop music. Isaac is a writer, pastor, and prodigious curator of music playlists. In this episode we cover why some music is labeled as "bad" and how to navigate the boundaries of purity and danger.
Our "bad music playlists:
Isaac's Playlist:
https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/2021-best-songs/pl.u-55D66JVs2E95E
My Playlist (with a bit of a caveat):
This playlist is a curation of all the music I may have considered "bad" at one time or another or the give me that "bad" vibe. Some of the songs are truly inappropriate/profanc/probably offensive. Some of the songs are not. If you do not like "bad" music, you will not like this playlist. This is just for fun.
This playlist is not a reflection of my theology, values, feminism, or belief systems.
Okay caveat over. (I don't want to be fired OKAY).
