Dear friend,

I think you're really brave to be continuing your journey abroad, trying to push your limits further and, frankly, I envy your courage. Although, now, it might seem like you're alone in the dark tunnel, you will realize later that your experience was invaluable. I believe no experience is worthless.

When you told me that you had a really hard time mentally and physically, I wanted to go there and bring you back to Korea but, I also believe that you're strong enough to get through it. I just wish you would take care of yourself, love yourself, and trust yourself more. When you're facing a new challenge, there's nothing more important than trusting yourself. Trust that you're right but, also trust in the fact that you can do it. Because you're the one who has to build your own path.

I cannot fully understand where you wanna go or who you wanna become but, we're in the same boat since we both are trying to make our own ways to fulfill our dreams. From the bottom of my heart, with all my love, I will always support you.

We have each other to depend on when the hard time comes. Cheers, my friend!

친구야,

나는 자신의 꿈을 이루기 위해서 그렇게 먼 곳에 혼자 가면서 끊임없이 도전하는 네가 정말 멋지다 생각해. 그리고, 그 용기가 부러워. 비록 지금은 눈 앞이 깜깜하고 힘들지라도 그런 네 경험들이 다 피가 되고 살이 될거야. 난 그 어떤 경험도 쓸모없지 않다고 생각해.

네가 정신적으로, 육체적으로 힘들었단 얘기를 들으면 당장이라도 한국으로 데려오고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝 같지만, 또 너는 그만큼 강인한 친구라 믿어. 다만 네 자신을 좀 더 보살피고, 아껴주고, 믿어줬으면 좋겠어. 새로운 도전을 할 땐 그 무엇보다도 나에 대한 믿음이 가장 중요한 것 같아. 내가 맞다는 믿음도 중요하지만, 내가 해낼 수 있다는 믿음! 스스로 그 길을 만들어 나가야 하기 때문에.

네가 가고자 하는 길을 내가 정확히 알 수는 없지만 자신만의 길을 개척하려는 우리의 상황은 비슷한 것 같아. 그러니 동지애로, 우정으로, 사랑하는 마음으로 너를 항상 응원할게!

힘들 땐 서로 의지하면서 앞으로 나아가자! 우리 인생 화이팅!!
