Welcome to the very first episode of the Bāham Liberation Podcast, a space for anti-Zionist, anti-monarchist, anti-Islamic Republic Iranians in diaspora. We’re so glad you’re here.
In this episode, you’ll meet four core members of Bāham Liberation who share how and why we came together. From the grief and betrayal we felt in the aftermath of October 7th, to the joy and solidarity of finding each other, this episode traces our origin story: a group chat that became a collective.
We talk about what “Bāham” means to us, the protest chant that inspired our name, and why we reject co-opted calls for "unity" that erase real harm. We explore what collective liberation means for Iranians in diaspora, the fear and isolation many of us feel for speaking out, and why being pro-Palestine does not mean siding with the Islamic Republic.
Note: This episode was recorded before Israel’s strike on Iran, so that war is not mentioned here—but everything else still speaks to this moment.
We are building a new space: one rooted in solidarity and collective liberation. If you're an Iranian in diaspora and you’ve been looking for a political home like this, you are not alone. Bāham misāzim—we'll build it together.
