In Judges 6 we meet the character of Gideon. When we meet him, he is very afraid, and wondering whether God had abandoned His people Israel as they were currently under the oppressive thumb of the Midianites. But instead of abandoning His people, God had a specific plan to restore the fortunes of His children, and that plan included Gideon leading the way on an adventure like no other.
