Bears/Bucs Over 45

I have tried to limit totals this year because the NFL is just a circus with penalties, but I think this is a soft total. Tampa is brutal on defense and the Bears are hurt at every level on their defense. The Bears are one of those teams that are going to shock people down the stretch. Jordan Howard is turning into a super star running back and don’t chalk Cutler up to being a bum just yet. The Bucs might get Doug Martin back today which will make them a little more balanced on offense. I think both teams should be able to run the football and hit their big plays also. Take the Over.

Navy -3 over Tulsa

The only way you stop Navy is by having a good defense with smart players that understand how the option works. Tulsa doesn’t have a clue. Navy plays very tough at home and the only way to beat them is to slow down what they do best. That will not happen today. Take Navy.

Giants -3 over Eagles

The Eagles can’t spread the field on offense which is not good news going against this Giants Secondary today.  This Eagles Defense is starting to come back down to earth from a surprisingly great start the first few weeks, fool’s gold.  The Eagles went from having a great offensive line to losing a key player due to suspension and now another is out today.  It’s never a good thing for a young quarterback when the shuffling begins.  This is a team that is not doing well in the division and it’s going to be a tough road today against this Giants team that has multiple weapons.  Until the Eagles can win in the division it’s not a bad idea to wager against them with these low lines.  Take the Giants.

Maryland +30 over Michigan

Michigan is rolling at 8-0, but they have their flaws and just are coming off a week against their rival Michigan State where they looked less than perfect. Maryland is a scrappy team that can run the ball and they have a decent secondary that might be able to force some turnovers. We have yet to see Michigan play perfect outside of the Rutgers game. This is a great football team that is well coached and can win the National Title, but it will be a dog fight the entire way there. Look for the Terps to control the ball long enough to keep this game from getting out of reach. Take Maryland.
