The voice, Chris Notch, joins Jason and Barrett for the second week in a row to talk about the Angels hiring of Joe Maddon, the Nationals Juan Soto shuffling all over the Cardinals in a quick and painful four game sweep, the Yankees have their backs against the wall down 3-1 to the Astros and the extremely negative Jason tries to find any and all light at the end of the tunnel for the Yankees World Series chances.
The voice of the intro, Chris Notch, joins Jason and Barrett to talk about Howie Kendrick ending the Dodgers season in one swing, the Cardinals tomahawk chopping the Atlanta Braves out of the playoffs, Jason angrily calls for the firing of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after he blows another postseason run and the two kings of the American League prepare to face off in a much anticipated series.
Playoff baseball is kicking off as Jason and Barrett talk briefly about the wildcard games, the Nationals getting lucky in the wildcard and unlucky in the NLDS, Jason calls for the head of Bob Melvin, Mark Melancon blows it for the Braves and previewing the first day of the two ALDS series between the Astros/Rays and Twins/Yankees.
Episode 3 is here and with it is Jason and Barrett getting starry eyed while talking abut the amazing broadcasting career of Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman, the trash talk being thrown Bryce Harper's way due to the skidding Phillies, Felix Hernandez's bitter sweet last game with the Seattle Mariners and the mood gets lightened by talking about Andy Green's firing, Joe Maddon's non-return to the Cubs, with the probable firing of Mickey Callaway and Gabe Kapler.
In Episode 2 Jason and Barrett talk about the great run by the Yelich-less Milwaukee Brewers, how this lackluster season for the Phillies and Bryce Harper could lead to some firings, Jason gives his thoughts on Domingo Germán, make or break for the Cubs in a four game home stand against the Cardinals and a peek at upcoming free agents that can make an impact on struggling teams next year (namely the Angels because we want Mike Trout to win).
Jason and Barrett discuss the absolute heartbreaking injury to all star Christian Yelich, Shohei Ohtani getting ready for surgery, how scary the Moneyball 2.0 Oakland Athletics are to some of the powerhouses in the American League and the increased tension in the National League Wild Card race.
