This week in sports Case and Mik dive into the latest Stanley Cup Finals update, NHL awards, and provide an update on the Hockey Canada case. Note that this was recorded before the latest reporting from Rick Westhead regarding the ruling on the freezing of Hockey Canada's funding "until the organization signs up with a new federal agency that has the power to independently receive and investigate abuse complaints and issue sanctions."
Plus, Case digs into the Deshaun Watson settlements and the duo comment on the irresponsible reporting surrounding the situation.
It's a glorious week when the Ball Busters can talk about multiple sports and no nonsense. Join Case an Mik for a preview of the Stanley Cup Final (hint: we're picking Colorado but feel bad for Corey Perry), show some love to women's hockey and Marie-Philip Poulin. Plus, there's an end to the Canada Soccer friendly catastrophe and we get into the early stages of Nations' League action. Finally, all groups are set for the World Cup as we now know Australia and Costa Rica will make the trip to Qatar.
It's been a lot of hockey talk recently so we thought we would throw in some variety for a little spice! Come hang out!
The sports world was back to its old ways this week so of course Case and Mik break it all down. From highlighting Steve Kerr's emotional press conference on the Uvalde shooting to the NHL's usual horrible handling of bad behaviour, this episode gets real.
Case and Mik are back to wrap up the Toronto Maple Leafs season, as well as break down the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Stay tuned until the end of the episode for clarity on Matt Harvey's suspension from the MLB on drug distribution charges and closure on the case of Tyler Skaggs' passing from 2019.
