We're back! We took a brief hiatus over the holidays but Chris and DJ have returned to talk some baseball! We break down some of the smaller deals that have happened in the time we missed, as well as the Sean Murphy trade, the Bryan Reynolds rumors, and whether or not we think Trevor Bauer will pitch in MLB again (We hope not). Lastly, we talk about the Rafael Devers contract extension with the Red Sox and try to get to the bottom of what's going on with Carlos Correa. Lastly, we once again bring back our recurring segment of Remembering Some Guys!
Welcome back for another episode of Ball Five! Today, DJ and Chris are back in much higher spirits to recap the 2022 Winter Meetings! They break down all the biggest moves and signings from the week, including Arson (sorry, Aaron) Judge signing back with the Yankees, the Mets getting Justin Verlander, and the Phillies signing Trea Turner. They also talk about the market's for the players who haven't signed yet, and wrap it up by remembering some guys.
The title says pretty much everything... DJ and Chris are sad because Jacob deGrom has left the New York Mets, signing a five-year deal with the Texas Rangers. They break down what this means for the Mets, how it could affect free agency, and break down other news, such as Bryan Reynolds requesting a trade and Jose Abreu signing a deal with the Houston Astros.
The gang is back together today to try and review the most recent crop of awards given out in MLB this week, as well as review the recent trades of Teoscar Hernandez, Kyle Lewis, and Gio Urshela. Next, they review some interesting players that were non-tendered by their teams, including former MVP Cody Bellinger. Lastly, they debut a brand new segment: Remembering Some Guys!
DJ and Chris are back again, this time reviewing the Houston Astros World Series Win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Later in the episode, they both place their predictions on where they think the top 10 free agents according to Fangraphs will sign.

Join us for another episode of the Ball Five Podcast as DJ and Chris break down how the Division Series and Championship Series' played out, talk about the corny methods of motivation the New York Yankees did before they were eliminated, and go through a brief oral history of Taco Bell's "Steal A Base, Steal A Taco" challenge. Then, they compare and contrast the upcoming World Series Matchup between the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies and make their predictions.

On this episode of Ball Five, DJ and Chris get together to go over the end of the Mets season in the Wild Card series vs. the Padres. On top of them lamenting what could've been for their favorite team in the playoffs, they also reviewed every game so far in the Division series and gave their thoughts on what teams will come out on top and advance to the Championship Series.
