Introducing Grace Rapp, a forward currently playing in the French first division for Stade De Reims. Following a childhood in Singapore and a secondary education in the South West of England, Grace got a call up to play for the England U19's, and in turn, earned a scholarship to play football alongside her studies in the American college system. 

Grace speaks of the pros and cons of college football across the pond and how her first professional contract in the tiny town of Selfoss, Iceland was extremely welcome following an intense four years. 

Following an extremely successful season, Grace earned herself a contract in France, where she is now thriving. Grace has largely pinpointed this upward trajectory down to a couple of lifestyle changes; one being the increasingly popular plant - based diet, and the other being meditation before games...

Introducing one of England's most fearsome bowlers - David 'Syd' Lawrence. Syd was just bursting onto the test scene with England before a horrific patella - shattering injury brought his career to an immediate halt. 

During this podcast, Syd takes us on a journey upon which there are some scintillating highs as well as some desperate lows. Syd speaks of the time one of his bouncers almost killed a West Indian batsman, how he suffered from racial abuse from his own fans at Headingley and how he came to terms with the loss of the sport he loved whilst at the peak of his career. 

However with all that being said, since the injury, Syd has found a new stage to thrive on and talks us through some incredible achievements since his life changed on that fateful day in Wellington... 

Back to business following a fallow week after a quick 'holiday' in London, and back with a BANG. Introducing one of England's most iconic full backs, (just before the game turned professional in 1995) - Jonathan Webb secured 33 England caps whilst simultaneously studying medicine and in turn, qualifying as a Doctor. 

Moreover, Jonathan is now a member of the RFU and practices as a knee surgeon, specialising in sports injuries. Having grown up with Jonathan's son, Joe - I have always heard snippets of Jonathan's career but never in as much detail as this. Truly a fascinating episode with a superb blend of past and present...

This week it was a pleasure to be joined by the incredible George Peasgood. George suffered a freak accident at the age of 2 and has since had numerous operations throughout his childhood, including skin grafts and a leg extension. 

In unconventional fashion, Ball Handlers will be looking into an individual sport for the first time - George is a Team GB Paratriathlete and competed in the 2016 Rio Paralympic games, and is looking strong for Tokyo 2021. 

George shares his awesome story - how he and his family got into triathlon, and indeed how differing impairments can prove advantageous at different stages of the race... 

Tom is a remarkable young cricketer, having been announced club captain of Somerset at the age of only 22, shortly after graduating from Exeter University  - Abell is a prolific batsman who can also bowl right arm medium pace. Tom delves into the highs and lows as captain during his short career thus far and takes a look to the future with his new franchise - Manchester Originals, as English cricket embarks on an exciting new journey with 'The Hundred'. 

Tom has also captained the England Lions on tour in Australia and looks to add to his international honours in the near future... 

In this episode, I am delighted to announce I am in the company of Rugby Union England international and Saracen, Ben Earl. Ben made his debut for Saracens in 2016 and despite some off - the - field issues with his club, has taken giant footsteps in the right direction with some eye-catching performances which have ultimately lead to international recognition. 

Earl has set some big goals for himself and talks me through some of them as he prepares for his one year loan move with Bristol Bears next season...
