If I was starting Top Shot today: 

1 make an agreement with yourself about the budget to start with. consider putting that in Dapper 

2 temper expectations. its not a get rich quick scheme

3 Buy the dip. you hear it a lot. but in Feb we didn't know during the explosion, it was an explosion. 

4 thoughtfully purchase and sell around challenges. 

• you don't need to participate to benefit. I could have flipped my moments for cool cats to $150 after gaining 2 from the pack and two from the price rise. sell moment during the challenge if you want to sell high, buy back two later. 

5 Don't let the frustration of NBA Top Shot get to you. Being here now is your advantage. The cost is grinning and bearing the beta tests. I missed a stress test pack this morn. I don't go on Twitter and slam top shot for it. I wouldn't do that if I was 0 from 10 on packs. 

6 Packs are your easiest investment. They are always worth it. even the $999 ones. contains always outvalues the pack. That doesn't mean investing in a holo pack to start, in fact, that's probably a bad idea and you likely won't fit the requirements to get that. 

7 Buy moments with a rationale, not emotions

• don't buy moments because other people are
  • you can justify any decision, doesn't mean they're right
• if you buy players you like, it's so much easier to not care if/when they go down in value. 

make an informed decision before buying and selling:

• that means getting familiar with 3rd party tools that tell you what you need to know about moments. Start with
  • evaluate.market
  • otmnft.com
  • flowmarketcap
  • momentranks.com
  • and chrome extension NBAnana
    • the later you can set up an email motification if your looking at a certain moment, but want it under a certain price. 

8 Sometimes not making a move is the best move. Just because you are on the site, doesn't mean you need to go buy something. 

9 If you selling a moment you not amped on, make sure you're getting market value. dont be this guy and dump it a huge percentage below market value, 

If you buying a moment, check the circulation, is much of the distribution still in packs?

10 Have patience. 1 week in top shot world feels like a mont

Bonus tip. If your buying a moment you love with the view of keeping and holding long term, you may just be unbeatable.

Packs for series 2:
- Eligibility requirements can be expected to be tinkered
- Another holo icon drop - definitely
- More premium pack drops - definitely
- Legendary rookie drop - 50/50
- Playoff related legendary drop - highly likely
- Rare playoff Drop - 50/50
- Common playoff drops - highly likely

Challenges:
- Cool Cats should be wrapped up by the beginning of May
- Collectors teaming up to complete challenges is ok

Marketplace:
- Using sites that give marketplace alerts for moments that are “good value” is allowed (live Token, Momentranks). As long as you still need to hit the buy button on dapper site. 
- Marketplace roll out isn’t a perfect solution but has been working short term. Not having it would jeopardise the market stability as everyone rushes to buy the same/similar moments.
