Ballyoughter Oral History

History is all around us. It is in our families and communities. It is the living memories and experiences of the senior members of the community. In History, it’s often only the voice of the famous people that are heard. In this project, it is hoped to capture the voice of the ordinary everyday citizen so that their memories may live on forever and tell the story of life in their times.
The aim of this project is to record the conversation between interviewer and narrator as the narrator recalls his/her life experiences as a resident of Ballyoughter.
