What do we do when we can’t avoid the challenges that come before us in life? On the way to the cross Jesus is met by two daughters who deal with persistent challenges. In two separate and distinct ways, we find that there is always a way to connect to the God who loves us. While challenges and problems will come our way, we are given a way to connect to our heavenly Father who loves us and wants to heal us.

The season of Lent is a time where we experience why Jesus was sent into the world. This week you will learn that you don’t have to be perfect to be accepted and loved by God. Jesus knew what was ahead of Him: betrayal by a friend, crucifixion on a cross, separation from His Father, yet victory for all through His resurrection. Jesus didn’t pray, "If it be Your will” because He didn’t know the Father’s plan. No, His prayer of commitment to the Father’s plan is an example to us of how to surrender to the Father’s will for our lives. Lord, Thy will be done!
