Featuring live music by Viva Viva, Mittens, and Wonderful Spells, and models showing off some hotttt outfits from Berk’s, History, and Hilken Mancini for Gumshoe! Being the first band to play the saw in our living room earns Los Hijos Unicos a special place in our hearts. They play Saturday, October 6th at The Cantab for Reverend Bob and the Darkness’s CD release!

The first-ever Flophouse visitors, Baker comes back and brings a couple of friends – Max and Jake from The Self Righteous Brothers! More fun than is healthy took place. Hopefully it comes across in the recording! Baker has their CD release party on Friday the 5th at TT’s, WITH the Self Righteous Brothers, so be there.

For those of you who don’t know, Viva Viva rose from the ashes of several great Boston bands, including Officer May, The Beat Awfuls, and The Lot Six. They played the last live rock set at Zuzu. And this is exactly what it sounded like. AND! They’re playing tonight at PA’s! Go go go go go!

Set 2 from the final rock show at Zuzu – here’s Frank Morey solo, doing his solo thing, including a pretty amazing cover of Just Like a Woman.

We had Tommy and Sarah in when Drug Rug was just a fledgling chick. (Listen here.) They have since made us oh so proud by putting together one of the best damn bands in Boston – in this incarnation, featuring Carter from Tulsa as well as Mike and Noah from The Dead Trees. They have thier CD release party this Friday at PA’s Lounge, along with a truly killer lineup. Go ahead and look who. Nah, never mind, just go!

I think this was the fastest turnaround we’ve pulled off.  The Resurrectionists came in 5 days ago, and somehow we managed to mix it down and get it out there. I think you’ll be quite happy with the results. They’re playing this Friday, the 14th, at The Midway Cafe in JP. So be there!
