Band In Boston

All Hallow’s Eve is upon us. Some bands pretending to be other bands, some bands pretending to be themselves. We got ’em all covered. Featuring Schooner, Deer Tick, The Paul Green School of Rock, Semi-Precious Weapons, The Reverend Horton Heat, Thunderbirds Are Now!, Rescue, Joy, Haverchuck, Panda and Angel, Dan Sartain, The Cassavettes, and The Young Republic. Dressed as sexy sexy bunnies.

Aaron Sinclair and Brett Saiia from Frank Smith brought along a guitar, a banjo, and a bag full of great songs.

The final seal is open. The gates to Hades have come off their hinges. Or it’s almost Halloween. Lots of great shows this week. Featuring The Ark, Hands and Knees, The Fake Accents, Lame Drivers, Shrinking Islands, The Beat Awfuls, Tulsa, Hats and Glasses, The Silver Lining, Swearing at Motorists, Headlights, The Broken West, Canada, The Hold Steady, Dodo Bird, Dylan in the Movies, and Tiny Amps.

The Animal Closet, stars of stage (and soon, screen), had this to say. Note it well.

This week sees the Emergenza Fest and the NEST Fest, as well as our loss of vocal dexterity. Featuring Nation Dozie, Hallelujah the Hills, Age Rings, Christians and Lions, Headband, Eli “Paperboy” Reid & the True Loves, Dirty on Purpose, Figurines, The Mess Hall, Faces on Film, Emergency Music, Victory at Sea, Hats and Glasses, You Can Be A Wesley, Maritime, Bound Stems, and Ben Kweller.

Killer Canary, those little rapscallions, they play the music. It’s good. This is it.

All the kickass shows to see, Oct 10-16, 2006, plus some new releases worth picking up. Featuring Beck, Schooner, Dan Sartain, Eef Barzelay, Pernice Brothers, The Upright Citizens Brigade, Okkervil River, The Decemberists, Auto Interiors, Ghosty, Chris and Aurore, Thunderbirds are Now!, Viva Voce, Bedroom Walls, Nicole Atkins, Blanketeer, The Spinto Band, Tokyo Police Club, and The Lemonheads.
