Musical comedy movie ''High Society,'' was a big hit in 1956, featuring cast toppers Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly, and Louis Armstrong And His All Stars. This song was sung by Bing Crosby, telling of his love for ''Samantha'' who was played by Grace Kelly .... it was her last movie appearance, .... as she was soon to be '' Princess Of Monaco.''

In 1961, ''Kenny Ball and his Jazmen,'' also had a no.1 hit in the UK with their trad version of ''Samantha.''
