As played by Ozark fiddler, Cecil Snow, this is the old-time Tune of the Week for October 13, 2017. It's called a hoedown and its style is compared to Texas swing style with slurred notes. I found it was easy to play because it only used open strings and the second fret. It also has a neat ascending melody in the B part.

For the old-time Tune of the Week, 10-6-17. Vesta Johnson, Missouri fiddler, learned this from Cyril Stinnett who learned it form his father. I'm glad to see this elderly fiddler (age 95) showcased in this week's TOTW. I find the title amusing.

My two finger style that involves picking both up and down with the middle finger.

Double C tuning and played on a tenor to 5 string conversion. Old pot/new neck

Recorded using Spire on my iPhone. Played on banjo #36 and my Seagull S6 guitar. Banjo tuned gCGCD#, capo 7, leaving the fifth string at g.
