Often accompanying by some silly lyrics about Davy and gravy, here is just the instrumental as learned from 1928 recording by the Weems String Band. They only made two, yet many outstanding banjo players have recorded Davy and credited the family band.

Ebenezer as a title goes by three melodies. This Tune of the Week is a new one for me. Ivan Weddle of Floyd, Virginia played it in the 80's. He had roots in nearby Willis, where Mac Traynham lives and builds banjo. In his honor, I'm playing my Mac Traynham banjo I call MacWillis. Using a capo shortens the neck for me and makes my sorish shoulder happier. I've considered selling this precious banjo to the right person....

From the Samuel Bayard collection called Dance to the Fiddle, March to the Fife, this old march has a repugnant name, but may have been named after a General Pisselli. The Tune of the Week has introduced us to several fiddle tunes from the enormous SW Pennsylvania collection, but this may be the first one from a fifer.

This is my answer to the challenge from Mike Gregory to write a tune with this title. Its maybe a bit slow, but I tried it fast and I couldn't fit all the words in.
